William K. Wild Bill Sperry, passed away at the age of 69, May 9, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.
Wild Bill was born in Watertown on May 20, 1953 to Grover and Mildred Sperry. He worked for New York Air Brake, in Watertown, making parts for planes. Bill was a professional painter and owned his own painting business. He was also an electrician, carpenter, plumber, one hell of a mechanic, a true Jack of all trades. Wild Bill was 50 years Harley Davidson strong.; he was a proud owner of a 1978 Shovelhead and a 1999 Fatty. He proudly upheld his presidential seat of A.B.A.T.E of the Onondaga County New York chapter. Bill loved Rock-N-Roll; he was a badass bass player and lived life to the fullest.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Mildred and Grover Sperry; his brother, Gerald Sperry; and his sister, Linda Sperry. Bill is survived by the love of his life, Terry Erler; two sons, William C. Sperry and Kenneth R. (Christie) Sperry; his one and only grandson, Orion Cassidy Sperry; and a niece, Melody Sperry.
Calling hours will be held from 10 AM – 12PM on Saturday May 21, with a service to follow at the Delaney Greabell Adydan Funeral Home, 241 Kinne Street, East Syracuse. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Minoa.
