Theodore “Ted” Grigor Uzunoff, 76, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Crouse Hospital on Saturday, June 04, 2022.
Ted was born on May 22, 1946, in Syracuse, NY to Grigor and Katherine (Luteff) Uzunoff. He graduated from East Syracuse Minoa High School in 1964. Ted retired after working 40 plus years as a Maintenance and Engineering Manager from General Super Plating (GSP). Ted enjoyed watching SU basketball games with his son in law. He was the most caring man and would give you the shirt off his back. Ted was outgoing and made friends everywhere he went. He loved to tell his stories and people loved to listen. Ted enjoyed the outdoors and sunbathing but was at his happy place when he was in Florida.
Ted was predeceased by his parents, Grigor and Katherine; his brother, John Uzunoff; his sister, Sofia Lotitto and a son-in-law Melvin Preaster.
Ted leaves, to cherish his memory two daughters, Kim Uzunoff and Colleen (Daniel) Stonecipher; three grandsons, Troy Golden, Theodore Stonecipher, Michael Uzunoff; and a sister Irene “Rinka” Jennings. He also leaves several cousins, nieces, nephews, and many lifelong friendships.
Ted’s family would like to thank the staff at Crouse Hospital’s 6th Floor South; for their tender care of our beloved father.
Friends and Family may call from 4pm – 6pm on Thursday June 9th, with a service to immediately follow at the Delaney Greabell Adydan Funeral Home, 241 Kinne Street, East Syracuse.
A Celebration of life will be held at 7pm at the Simon-Parise 9596 VFW Post 9596, 6996 E Taft Rd. East Syracuse.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in Ted’s name.
Arrangements are in the care of the Delaney Greabell Adydan Funeral Home, East Syracuse.
