Robert A. Botindari, 81, of East Syracuse, passed away on Monday April 13, 2020 at Central Park Nursing Home due to Respiratory Complications. Born in Auburn, New York on April 27, 1939 to his parents, Joseph T. and Josephine J. Botindari. He graduated from Auburn West High School in 1957, Joined the Army National Guard and graduated from the United States Army Artillery and Missile Radar Operator School in 1960. He worked for Chrysler New Process Gear starting as a machinist working his way up to a supervisor retiring after 29 years of service. While working seven days a week he also attended Onondaga Community College and earned his associate’s degree in business. Robert was most proud of his work at NPG dedicating the majority of his life to the company. He will be remembered by most of his colleagues as being fair and quick witted, always telling jokes. Outside of his passion for work, Robert was an avid golfer and bowler winning the Miller High Life amateur bowling Pro Am in the late 1970’s. He looked forward to his yearly hunting excursions with his wife, uncles, and cousins. Robert greatly benefited from the caring and fun nursing staff at Central Park. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph T. and Josephine J. Botindari.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ada Jo; his son, Robert Shawn of Syracuse; his daughter, Mary Jo (Denise) of Syracuse; and his beloved dog, Abby.
Funeral Services will be held in the near future. Delaney Greabell Adydan Funeral Home, East Syracuse has care of arrangements. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
