Raymond C Usiatynski, 63, of East Syracuse, passed away at his home on Monday, February 15, 2021 after a battle with cancer. A native of East Syracuse, he took over the family business, USEE Motors, from his father and uncle, and for many years provided reliable service to the people of East Syracuse, many of whom became faithful customers and friends. Ray also worked at Tully Hill from 1990- 2008, encouraging many along the way. Many special memories were also formed hunting, playing cards, and visiting with family and friends at the family farm in Redfield. Ray was always dependable for a helping hand in every way he could. He had a big heart, quick smile, and a gift of easy conversation.
Raymond was predeceased by his parents, Casmir and Shirley Usiatynski; a sister C. Wendy McIntyre; brother-in-law, Phil Kyser; niece, Julianna Usiatynski; and nephews, Arel Usiatynski and John McIntyre.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Mary Kyser Usiatynski; and his children, Raymond, Heather (Daniel) House, and Christina Usiatynski; as well as his beloved grandchildren, McKenna, David, Alyssa, Aurora, and Katelynn House, and Darren DeCarr.
He will be sorely missed by his sisters Linda (John) Paoff and Caroline Usiatynski; brothers, Frank (Hilary) Usiatynski and Casmir (Kathleen) Usiatynski; as well as his brother-in-laws, Paul Kyser, James (Gloria) Kyser and LeRoy (Tess) Kyser; and sisters-in- laws, Betty Royer, Joan Holladay, Pauline Monica, and Peggy Kyser. His many nieces, nephews, and cousins will miss his wonderful sense of humor.
Calling hours will be at the Delaney Greabell Adydan Funeral Home, 241 Kinne Street, East Syracuse, Sunday, February 21 from 4-7pm. The funeral Mass will be held Monday, February 22 at St. Matthew’s Church, East Syracuse, at 9 AM. Burial will be at St Mary’s Cemetery, Minoa, immediately afterwards.
