Norma J. O’Omelia, 92, of East Syracuse, passed away Saturday evening at St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in Syracuse on December 2, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Newton and Theresa (Mosher) VanDeusen. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Bruce O’Melia, her children, Karen and Mark O’Melia, son-in-law, Carmen Tripodi, sister, Barbara Konvicka, her brother, Newton VanDeusen and brother-in-law, Albert Trendell.
Norma is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Mark) DeIulio, Susan Tripodi and Barbara (Angelo) Ferrari; her sister, Bea Trendell; seven grandchildren, Brian, Joe, Gabrielle, Griffin, Jennah, Bennett and Grayson and two great-grandchildren, Zach and Millie Fay; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2020 12 p.m. in the Delaney Greabell Adydan Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Chittenango. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home before the services, 241 Kinne Street, East Syracuse
