Myrtle A. "Sue" Shaw, 78, of East Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Clayton, New York. She was a Administrative Secretary for Sunnyside Nursing Home and was a League Coordinator for Flamingo and Strike and Spare. She was an avid car enthusiast who loved going to car shows and cruise-ins. She loved to travel around the world and her biggest joy in life was her family. She was predeceased by her son, Joseph M. Shaw Jr., in 2003 and her parents, Ellsworth and Thelma Dano and her brothers, James, Wayne and Nelson.
Sue is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Joseph M. Shaw; three daughters, Cynthia (Mark) Donitzen, Joanne (Glen) Guile and Suzanne (Bob) Bardou; two sisters, Darlene and Marla; brother, Billy; four grandchildren, David, Joseph, Thomas and Nicholas; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Delaney Greabell Adydan Funeral Home, 241 Kinne Street, East Syracuse. Services and burial will be private at Collamer Cemetery.
