Karen L. (McKenna) Fullana, 54, of East Syracuse, passed away peacefully Thursday morning at her home with her loving family by her side after a seven year battle with cancer. She worked for Meg Wheadon Taylor PT for 11 years, Fremont Lanes for 16 years and retired from CNY Diagnostic Imaging in 2016 after her disease had spread. Karen loved to laugh, smile and just to be happy and at peace all the time. She loved her family and friends with all her heart and soul. She asked everyone to be kind and to have faith. She found her faith in God and believes he got her this far through her illness. She always asked everyone to "Live like you were dying" cause life is to short. She thanks all for your kindness, love and prayers during this difficult time. She was predeceased by her parents, Shirley and Kenneth McKenna and her father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Rosemary Fullana.
Karen is survived by her loving husband of 24 years and together for 28 years, Joseph F. Fullana; daughter, Alyssa (Nate Hill) Fullana of Solvay; son, Joseph Fullana of East Syracuse; her precious grandaughter, Milani Rae Fullana; her brothers, Kenny (Deb) McKenna, Donald (Ruth) McKenna and Kevin (Belinda) McKenna; her sisters, Patricia Johnston, Pamela (Danny Courtwright) Dooley and Dawn McKenna; her in-laws, Debbie Jo Foote, Tony (Julie Caruso) Fullana, Luann Fullana and Angela (Pat) Brick; 18 nieces and nephews, 21 great-nieces and nephews, many cousins, aunts and uncles; cousin Annie (Jeremy) Brockway; best friends, Linda and Pat Meaney and Mer and Harvey Benn
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday 9 a.m. at St. Matthew's Church. Burial will be private. Calling Hours will be held on Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the church, 229 W. Yates Street, East Syracuse. Delaney Greabell Adydan Funeral Home has care of arrangements.
