Gary E. Fritcher, 62 of Tully, formerly of East Syracuse, passed away at home on Friday, October 1, 2021. Gary was a 1977 graduate of East Syracuse-Minoa High School and received an Associate’s Degree from Bryant & Stratton Business Institute. He was formerly employed by C&L Parts Warehouse and John Milton Thruway Motel. His most rewarding position was the loving caregiver for his mother and father during their senior years. Gary was a previous member of the East Syracuse Fire Dept. He was currently serving as secretary to the Volunteer & Exempt Firemen’s Benevolent Association of East Syracuse where he assisted many members in their time of need. While in the fire dept., he was an exceptionally good pushball player and won many trophies during competitions at firemen’s field days. Gary also started bowling at a young age and excelled in the sport. He was an avid Yankee fan that never missed a game. Gary also enjoyed spending time at the family summer home on Sandy Pond.
Gary was predeceased by his parents, Gary W. and Betty Fritcher; and brother, Gregory Fritcher. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Frederick Wilson; and his nephew and niece, Ethan and Megan Wilson, whom he loved as if they were his own. Gary is also survived by his uncle, Richard Gilkey and aunt, Joyce Felicita; along with many cousins.
Calling hours are Sunday, October 10 from 4-6 pm at Delaney Greabell Adydan Funeral Home, 241 Kinne Street, East Syracuse with services to follow. Private graveside service at White Chapel Memory Gardens, Dewitt.
