Beatrice Cummings of Liverpool, New York passed away peacefully on Monday at St. Luke’s Nursing Home at the age of 92. She was born in Syracuse N Y, to G. Arthur and Ethel Smith.
She was a switchboard operator at a local Syracuse tv station. She also worked as a Model and was employed at General Electric. The latter part of her life she was a self- employed Portrait Artist. Her lifelong passion was painting & drawing. She enjoyed dancing, reading, swimming, taking walks, playing scrabble and trips to Miami Beach. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters and brother.
She will lovingly be remembered by her nieces and nephews as an Aunt that made each one of them feel special. Always a smile and ready for fun, her positive energy enriched their lives.
She was predeceased in death by her husband, Harry R. Cummings, 1996, both of her parents, her oldest sister, Peggy, her younger sister, June and nephew, Gary.
Survived by her youngest sister, Carole (Donald) Kondrk of Seneca Knolls, New York; her only brother, Thomas A. Smith of Syracuse; eleven nieces and nephews; several great and great-great nieces & nephews.
Private services and burial will be held at White Chapel Memory Gardens where the rite of committal will be held with Pastor Jimmy Doyle officiating.
