Jean Moziak Checkosky, 70, of Erie Village East Syracuse, passed away on Friday.
A loving, devoted, and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, she truly loved preparing delicious meals and baked goods for her family. She looked forward to her winter home in
Florida and the many family and holiday gatherings. Always with a smile and outgoing personality, she also enjoyed spending quality time with her extended circle of friends.
Survived by her husband of 50 years, Jim, daughter Terri (Tim) Shields, sons Jimmy and David, sisters Janet Schmitt and Joan Spadaro, brothers Dave, Gary, Don, Ed, and John Moziak, and
two special cousins Marge and Virginia. Also survived by the grandchildren she cherished, Erin, James, Jack, Natalie, Graydon, and Wells. As she wished, there are no calling hours.
Rather, there will be a celebration of her life on Monday, July 18th from 1to4 pm at Trappers II, 101 N. Main St., Minoa.
