Gary W. Fritcher

May 13, 1930 ~ April 5, 2016 (age 85)
Gary W. Fritcher, 85, life resident of East Syracuse, passed away Tuesday April 5 at
home. He was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the US Army, stationed in
Germany. He retired from East Syracuse Chevrolet after 50 years as a body
mechanic. He was a Life member of the East Syracuse Fire Dept., serving actively
for 55 years and was a Past Assistant Chief. He was a member of many different
firemen's associations and American Legion Arthur Butler Post 359. He was an
avid bowler in his younger years. He enjoyed his retirement years fishing at his
summer home on Sandy Pond.
He was predeceased by his son Gregory L. Fritcher,' and sister Dona Krzykowski. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Betty (Gilkey), son Gary E. of East Syracuse, Daughter Gail (Fred) Wilson of Tully, his beloved grandchildren, Ethan and Megan Wilson, brother, Richard (Anne) of North Syracuse, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Sunday April 10, from 4 to 7 pm at Delaney-Greabell-Adydan Funeral Home, 241 Kinne Street, East Syracuse, with services to follow.
Private graveside services will be on April 11, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, DeWitt.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the East Syracuse Fire Dept. 204 North Center Street, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
