Elizabeth Fisher Vollmer, 81, of East Syracuse, passed away Thursday, January 19, at Loretto. She was born February 4, 1935. She and her husband, Fred (deceased Oct.1, 2016), were lifelong residents of East Syracuse. She helped her husband with the Vollmer farm for many years and traveled the world with him. She overcame very serious illnesses, remained a cheerful soul and was an encouragement to others facing illness. She loved the Lord Jesus, was a vital member of her church and a pillar in the community. She was the salt of the earth.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Susan Vollmer of East Syracuse, her son, James (Aimee) of Rochester, three granddaughters, Kimberly Croop, Claire Vollmer and Katherine Vollmer, three brothers, James Fisher of FL, Thomas Fisher of East Syracuse and John Fisher of Manlius, several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be Saturday, January 28, at 1:00 pm at the Community Covenant Church. Calling hours Thursday January 26, from 4 to 7 pm at the Delaney-Greabell-Adydan Funeral Home. Spring burial in Collamer Cemetery.
