Carolyn Temple, of DeWitt. New York, passed away April 17, 2016. She was
born June 20, 1921 in Watertown, New York. She was predeceased by her husband
Douglas Temple after 50 years of marriage, and by her sisters Francis Richey and Jean
Morales. She will be greatly missed and loved forever by her children, Robert Temple
(Marisa), David Temple (Amy), and Thomas Temple (Kathy) and her grandchildren,
Emily, Sarah, Katie, Russell and Eric, and by many nephews and nieces.
She graduated from Albany State Teachers College, earned a graduate degree at
Syracuse University, and taught for many years in the Skaneateles and East Syracuse
She liked to travel, especially to England, studied many novels and plays with
Professor Mary Marshall, and enjoyed playing bridge. She volunteered at the
Fayetteville Free Library and for Meals on Wheels.
Most importantly she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held, on June 25, 2016 at 2
p.m. at the May Memorial Unitarian Church, 3800 East Genesee Street, Syracuse, New
