Ann M. Neuman, of East Syracuse, passed away at Upstate University Hospital on July 9, 2016 surrounded by her family. Ann was a selfless, caring, loving individual whose family was the focus of her life. She was strong, always put others first and always found something positive in every situation.
Ann was predeceased by her husband, William F. in 1997 and her son, William D. in 2011. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Neuman and Karen Dabrowski (Mike) as well as her grandchildren, Jennifer McLean (Ryan), Jackie Woods (Teddy) Matthew and David Dabrowski, two great grandchildren as well as siblings, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 am in St. Matthew's Church East Syracuse. There are no calling hours. Burial St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
The family is not requesting that monetary donations be sent to any charity in honor of Ann. In lieu of this, the request is to do something to help someone else, which will truly honor and emulate Ann's character. Smile at a stranger, ask someone how their day is going and really stop to listen to the answer, pick up the phone and make a call to someone who is sick, alone, homebound etc. One small action can impact someone's life greatly only requiring a few minutes of your time.
Ann always praised and thanked the Lord and truly believed in Him. Soon after Ann's passing, a vibrant rainbow appeared in the sky, reaching through the clouds. We know that this was His sign to us of her stairway directly into heaven.
Rest in peace, Mom. We will love you forever and are so thankful for you. Thank you to you and Dad for showing us the true definition of a loving family.
