On Sunday September 23, 2018, Peggy (Margaret) Schneider, 74, of East Syracuse passed away. She attended St. John’s the Evangelist High School and built a career as a product manager for Crucible Steel. She loved playing darts for Salt City, all sports, and playing pitch. Peggy was known for her quick wit, fierce independence and her love for her family. Family was everything to her, unless you were playing cards against her of course. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren and we are forever grateful for that love. She couldn’t resist a good garage sale, a solid piece of fudge or an opportunity to make a pun. Those who knew her will always remember the laughter she brought into your life. Whether it was a new joke or a really well used joke, she always went for it. Mom was also an avid poet, I am sure we’ve all heard one of “Peggy’s poems”. She was predeceased by her parents John and Marie Kearns, her beloved sister Mary Komurek and beloved brother Jack Kearns.
She is survived by her three children Joseph (Audre) Schneider, Lori (T.J.) Lizzio and Tiffany(Anthony) Ciarico. Her cherished grandchildren Sabina, Aoife, Oscar, Pasquale and Charlie. Her brother in-law Leon Komurek, Sister in-law Carol Kearns and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind an endless group of friends that were family to her who filled her life with joy, laughter, card games and love.
Calling Hours will be held on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Delaney Greabell Adydan Funeral Home. Burial will be private. A special Eulogy will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home, 241 Kinne Street, East Syracuse.
