Norma Jane (Brown) Hall, 97, of North Syracuse passed away peacefully on Thursday at The Syracuse Home after a long illness. She was born in Syracuse and grew up in East Syracuse and was a graduate of East Syracuse High School. After her marriage she resided in Mattydale and North Syracuse. She was a member of the Mattydale Mother's Club. In 1985 after her husband's retirement they moved to Osceola, New York and she served on the Osceola Election Board of Elections and the Osceola Town Board. She was a deacon of The First Congregational Church in Osceloa and secretary of the Osceola Rod and Gun Club for many years. She moved back to North Syracuse after her husband's death in 2002. Norma was predeceased by her husband, Clifford C. Hall, her mother, Ruth Metzger and her grandson, Jeremy D. Hall.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Carl Hopkins of North Syracuse; her son and daughter-in-law, David C. and Mary Anne Hall of Liverpool; granddaugher-in-law, Donna M. Hall; and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at McHarrie Pointe and The Syracuse Home at McHarrie Place for their kind and excellent care.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday 6 p.m. at Delaney Greabell Adydan Funeral Home. Private Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home before the services, 241 Kinne Street, East Syracuse.
