Dorothy A. Godlewski

July 16, 1934 ~ July 1, 2010 (age 75)
Dorothy A. (Tedesco) Godlewski, 75, of North Syracuse passed away on Thursday at University Hospital. She was born in Syracuse, grew up on the North Side and had resided in East Syracuse for many years before moving to North Syracuse. Dorothy retired from BJ's Wholesale Club in 1999 after 14 years and also worked for Storms Plating for 12 years as an office manager. She graduated from North High School. She was a communicant of St. Daniel's Church. Dorothy devoted her life to single-handedly raising her 6 children, following their activities everywhere they went, and enjoying her many grandchildren. As her children were growing up, she was a member of the East Syracuse Minoa High School Band Booster Club, supporting and following her children in band competitions, sports, and theatre activities. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards and bingo, attending family events and activities, and watching her favorite major league baseball team, the Boston Red Sox.

Dorothy is survived by her 3 beautiful daughters Linda M. (Steven) McMillan of San Antonio, TX, Dawn E. (Michael) O'Neill of Baldwinsville and Terry L. (Bob) Alletzhauser of Cicero. 3 sons Rusty S. (Debbie) Godlewski of Nashville, TN, Vincent S. (Mary) Godlewski of Lyncourt and Wayne W. (Kimberly) Godlewski of Olathe, KS, a brother Robert N. (Arlene) Tedesco of Brewerton, 22 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson Chad McMillan and 2 brothers Richard and Charles.

Funeral services will be at 8:15 AM on Tuesday July 6 from the Delaney Greabell Adydan Funeral Home and 9:00 AM in St. Daniel Church. Burial will be in Fyler Settlement Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Monday July 5 at the funeral home 241 Kinne St., East Syracuse.
