Dorothy Andrews

March 11, 1923 ~ March 15, 2018 (age 95)
Dorothy (Murray) Beston Andrews, 95, of the Nottingham in Jamesville NY, joined God and his Angels in heaven on Thursday, March 15, 2018. She passed away peacefully to her eternal life surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse to the late Kenneth and Nancy (Pride) Murray in 1923 and lived in East Syracuse most of her life. She worked as the Office Manager for Cooney Air Conditioning, Service Manager for Woodcock Associates, and was an awesome homemaker and mother. Dorothy was a longtime dedicated communicant of St. Mathew's Church, where she was an usher and volunteered in the 2nd Hand store. She was predeceased by her high school sweetheart and husband William Beston in 1990, her companion and second husband James Andrews in 1998, and her brother, Donald Murray in 2014.
She is survived by her son; William (Karen) Beston, of Binghamton NY, 2 daughters; Barbara Beston, of Austin TX and Susan (Richard) Konvicka, of Osterville MA, 7 grandchildren; Katrina Wells, Jenny Wells, Bain Beston, Brooks Beston, Michael Konvicka, Patrick Konvicka, Kelly (Konvicka) Garrett, and 7 great grandchildren.
A funeral liturgy will be held at 9:00 am, Monday, March 19, 2018 at St. Mathew's Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery & Mausoleum, Dewitt, NY where she will be buried next to her husband, William.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave, Syracuse, NY 13208.

'If roses grow in heaven, Lord please pick a bunch for me, place them in my mother's arms and tell her they're from me. Tell her I love her and miss her, and when she turns to smile, place a kiss on her cheek and hold her for a while.' The family is very grateful to the caring and loving staff of the Nottingham Residential Health Care Facility and the Enriched Living facility.
