Dolores Evelyn Fiumara, 91, of Southern Pines, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Tuesday at the Elmcroft of Southern Pines. Dolores was a lifelong resident of Syracuse for 90 years prior to relocating to North Carolina. Dolores enjoyed traveling, antiquing, gardening and was an avid doll collector. She was also a sports enthusiast and fan of Syracuse University athletic teams. Her family was the center of her universe. Dolores was predeceased by her husband, Joseph A. Fiumara; parents, Albert Horn and Evelyn D’Agostino; and her sister , Veronica Gilkey.
She is survived by her six children, Gary (Peggy) Fiumara, Gail Kane, Robin Robinson, Roger Fiumara, Randy Fiumara and Joseph D. Fiumara; her sister, Joann Tarnoff; eight grandchildren, Kelly Miller, Eric Fiumara, Natalie Richardson, Haley Robinson, Lindsay Fiumara, Alec Fiumara, Max Fiumara and Nicholas Fiumara; four great-grandchildren, Dante Miller, Valentina Miller, Dominic Miller and Jace Fiumara; and several nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held at Delaney Greabell Adydan Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Doyle officiating followed by a private burial at White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt.
