Our History

The Funeral Home was established in 1915 by J. Earl Delaney and Raymond L. Hodge, and was located at 135 W. Manlius St.

Born 1954 in Langley AFB VA, Stan grew up in Syracuse NY. Stan graduated in 1972 from St. Patrick's High School. After graduating from Simmons School of Mortuary Science in 1974 Stan served his residency at Welters Funeral Home in Eastwood. Receiving his Funeral Directors license in 1975 Stan was hired by the Urban Funeral Home in Cheektowaga, NY were he was employed until 1979. Stan then was hired by Raymond Greabell the owner of Delaney and Greabell Funeral Home Home in East Syracuse, who wanted to retired and was looking to sell his business to which Stan bought from. Stan has been married to his wife Roberta for over 20 years. Stan and Roberta have one son Eric, serving with the US Navy.
